Some of you may have known this, but I just found out that Barb, aka Eighth Horizon, aka Gekizetsu passed away in October of 2022. I'd actually been trying to get in touch with her, and kind of tripped over it on facebook (which I'm on like once a year.)

Anyway, if anyone knew her and didn't know she was gone, I share all the sadness in the world that we'll not have her brilliant prose any more.

Ah, I'm so sorry to hear this. I've been so absent from fandom, and spend WAY too much time managing social media for my clients, so I didn't know. RIP, Barb.

I literally did not know until today. I'd been trying to get in touch with her and it was only pure chance I logged into facebook today. Her sister didn't know how to get in touch with anyone so I'm not sure many people know at all.

Oh, no!!! Oh, god, that is so very sad. I adored her, for all she did and all she was.

I'm so sorry. I wanted so much more for her.
