Homeowner Woes of the ridiculous kind

So, we had to replace the dryer. It arrived today without a power cord.

Wut?

Apparently the power cord is extra.

Wut?

For your edification, it was an Amana 6.5 cu ft electric dryer.

I mean, seriously, what the hell?

Possibly the dumbest, most pointless and infuriating consumer upsell abuse ever. I mean, Oh sure, I would like to spend several HUNDRED dollars on a new electric dryer without a cord. Cause everyone has extra 220v 3-prong monstrosities laying around the house like they have extension cords, power strips and surge protectors.

It's not even that the cord itself was that expensive, but seriously, in what world does any electric appliance not come with a cord?
